Español: Escudo de la ciudad de Recife (capital del Estado de Pernambuco, Brasil), diseñado bajo las condiciones del Taller de Heráldica y Vexilología de la Wikipedia en español. Referencias: [1]
Português: Bandeira da cidade de Recife (capital estadual de Pernambuco), projetada com as condições de Workshop de Heráldica e Vexilología da Wikipédia em espanhol. "Símbolos de fé, força e esperança completam o visual da bandeira do Recife. São eles: a cruz, representando a colonização portuguesa, que trouxe o cristianismo para o Brasil; o leão neerlandês coroado, em amarelo, remetendo ao escudo de armas de Maurício de Nassau e ao Leão do Norte, apelido adquirido por Pernambuco pelo seu potencial histórico de lutas e, por fim, o sol e a estrela, ambos em amarelo, aludindo ao nosso astro maior e à representação da república brasileira, considerada originária das terras pernambucanas, através do movimento de 1817.."
