English: The house located at 3331 O Street NW in the Georgetown neighborhood of Washington, D.C., was built in 1869 and is a contributing property to the Georgetown Historic District. Previous occupants include Senator Robert F. Kennedy, Representative James Roosevelt, National Security Advisor Gordon Gray, and British civil servant Denis Rickett. The house is a good example of post-Civil War Second Empire-style domestic architecture, as seen in the intact Mansard roof. The house's architectural significance is further enhanced by the twentieth-century alterations, such as the Georgian Revival door surround and the Art Deco interior, which reflect some of this century's popular tastes. The rear garden is an attractive and carefully cultivated example of the private gardens Georgetown is well known for.
