English: The Assumption Cathedral. The groundbreaking took place on July 13, 1930. The Assumption Cathedral was consacreted on September 9, 1934 by the bishop of the Greek Catholic Diocese of Oradea Mare Valeriu Traian Frențiu. The cathedral was built by the company of Ratz and Attl from Cluj. The parish priest was Traian Trufaşiu. Since its construction, the cathedral has been a pilgrimage destination on the feast of the Assumption of Mary (August 15).
