Bhongir, Bhongiri or Bhuvanagiri is a city in the state of Telangana, India. It is located in the Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district of the state. It is 48 km from the state capital, Hyderabad. Bhuvanagiri is famous for its fort, which became prominent during the rule of the Kakatiyas. 17°30′36″N 78°53′24″E / 17.51°N 78.89°E
