English: The City Circle was a free shuttle bus serving the centre of Cambridge, England. Subsidised by the county council, it was withdrawn on 16 April 2011 amid a raft of cuts across transport services. It linked the pedestrianised area of King's Parade, with the Grafton Centre, on a small circular route. The shuttle was introduced when the city centre was pedestrianised, and was the only bus allowed to enter the pedestrianised zone, with access controlled by rising bollards. With such a small route, only one bus was used, operated by Stagecoach in Cambridge, on a 15 minute frequency. The vehicle used was their No. 47394 (reg. AE56 LUL), a 2006 Optare Solo M850 midibus, with 27 seats. It wore a special dedicated livery extolling the free nature of the service, and the 'cleaner city air' it contributed to, thanks to having the latest Euro IV engine fitted.
