English: The first of three successive "Central Schools" in Seattle. Distinct from the "Sixth Street School" built 1878 on the site where the two later "Central Schools" were built. Built 1870 at Third and Madison. Closed 1883. Sold and moved to Front (1st Ave.) and Virginia, 1884. Operated as a rooming house, Central Rooms, until demolished June 23, 1911.
