English: Christ church was completed in 1840 as a Church of England parish church. By the end of the 1960s the west tower had been dismantled. Since then the Gothic Revival pinnacles have been removed and the roof has been changed. Christ Church has now merged with two Baptist congregations to form Trinity LEP (local ecumenical partnership).
