Clarkson & Capel Steam Car Syndicate Ltd., Clarkson, Ltd., and Chelmsford Ltd. in Chelmsford were manufacturers of steam-powered road vehicles branded Clarkson and Chelmsford. Thomas Clarkson (1864-1933) also operated the National Steam Car Co. with his steam busses in London, 1909-1919.
