Actualmente el sitio de las ruinas de Concepción de la Vega oficialmente se llama Parque Nacional Histórico y Arqueológico de la Vega Vieja
English: Concepcion de la Vega is the original name of the colonial city (known as La Vega Vieja) built in 1494 and abandoned in 1562 after an earthquake. However, it is often incorrectly used for the modern city of La Vega. The official name of the site with the ruins of Concepción de la Vega is called "Parque Nacional Histórico y Arqueológico de la Vega Vieja" (La Vega Vieja Historical and Archaeological National Park)
