English: The Coronation of Archduke Joseph as King of the Romans took place on April 3, 1764 in Franfurt am Main. He was presented by his father Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor, who would unexpectedly pass away one year later on August 18, 1765. The coronation ceremony took place at the Imperial Cathedral of Saint Bartholomew with the main festivities held at the Römerberg.
