The Court of King's Bench, at the southern end of Westminster Hall. From 1739 the courts were separated from the remainder of Westminster Hall by a substantial Gothic screen designed by William Kent. This was removed in the mid 1820s, when new court-rooms were built beyond the hall to designs by John Soane.
