- In 1874 here built the city's first summer theatre circle for theatrical performances on his plot in Csengery Street. The house, which still stands today, was built in 1884 by the grain trading company József P. Lengyel and his son (Bernát), together with the building at 17 Kisfaludy Street. The latter was the granary of the grain trade. The buildings were designed by Lajos Sallér. - The son of Lajos Fischel was born and lived in this one-storey corner house. Ferenc Fejtő (François Fejtő), who has lived in France since 1938, is a writer, journalist, critic, historian-essayist and political scientist. Memorial plaque of Ferenc Fejtő (Erected 2009., Péter Vladimir (goldsmith), Krisztián Ádám (goldsmith)). On the left side of the plaque is Ferenc Fejtő's thought: "I am a citizen because I love my enemies a little, I value debate more than doctrine, and I would only feel quite comfortable in a spiritual order that would legitimately guarantee freedom of doubt." 1874-ben Csengery utcai telkén felépíttette a színházi előadások számára a város első nyári színkörét. A ma is álló házat Lengyel P. József és Fia (Bernát) gabonakereskedő cég 1884-ben építtette a hozzá tartozó Kisfaludy utca 17. szám alatti épülettel együtt. Utóbbi volt a gabonakereskedés magtára. Az épületeket Sallér Lajos tervezte. - Ebben a földszintes sarokházban született és élt Fischel Lajos fia. az 1938 óta Franciaországban élő Fejtő Ferenc (François Fejtő) író, újságíró, kritikus, történész-esszéista, politológus. Fejtő Ferenc emléktáblája (Felállítás 2009., Péter Vladimir (ötvösművész), Ádám Krisztián (ötvösművész)).
