The classification of methods to amend laws.

Dissolution Method is usually used in ordinances and statutes of many countries.

For example, w:Common law[1] and Civil law[2] adopt this method.

In this method, The amendment law prescribe alteration of partial text of existing laws.

Therefore, the articles that sets amendments, itself has no direct legal force. It only has legal force through existing laws revised.

Build-up Method is especially used in amendments of American Constitution.

And, the similar method was also used in Japanese law in the early Meiji era, but now.

  2. w:Germany, w:France and other Europian Countrys, and w:Japan, w:South Korea, w:China and other Asian Countrys.
