English: The Du Pont Athletic Gymnasium, also known as MIT Building W31, located at 120 Massachusetts Avenue at the corner of Vassar Street, was built in 1903 as a State Armory, and was designed by Hartwell Richardson & Driver. It was sold to MIT in 1957 for $375,000 and the conveyance to the state by the City of Cambridge of property in the Fresh Pond area for a new armory to be built on.
