English: Phallic pastries sold in the name of Saint Gonçalo in Amarante, Portugal: every June, Amarante hosts the Festa de São Gonçalo, a religious celebration. During the festival, the town will launch doces fálicos (phallic pastries): the unwed will touch the tomb of the saint and exchange the phallic pastries as a sign of affection; it is said will lead to marriage.
