Ferrier (Frédéric) Bernard is a stone sculptor from Lorraine born in the diocese of Toul and having practiced his art mainly in Avignon of which he was the official sculptor at the end of the 15e century and at the very beginning of the 16e century since he died in Avignon in 1510. Before his arrival in Avignon in 1488 Ferrier Bernard created his masterpiece in 1480: the north and central portals of the western facade of the Saint-Maurice cathedral in Vienne (Isère, France).
