English: Ordered to be built by the House in 1742 this monument is known as D. José de Bragança fountain. It was originally located close to S. Vicente church, where it replaced another one erected at the behest of the Archbishop Frei Agostinho de Jesus, known as " Fonte da Preguiça" (Laziness Fountain). It is a typical Baroque monument, richly ornamented, with a backside divided into three panels. The central one is the most decorated, displaying three waterspouts, two of which corresponding to the mouth of sea figures. Over them it is set the crest of the Archbishop, topped by a Primatial cross. On the top of the side panels two pyramids are displayed. This fountain was supplied by the water provided by the aqueduct of "Sete Fontes". Currently, it is placed against the back wall of a small corner opened to "R. Andrade Corvo" in the "Campo das Hortas", standing bordered by two other fountains dating back to the nineteenth century.
