English: Giovanni Bouchard, Italian bookseller and publisher active in Rome in 1750-1789. Initially published as Giovanni Bouchard; Gravier (apparently from the Gravier family of retail booksellers from Briançon, who operated in Genoa, Rome, Florence and Portugal) became a partner by 1760s, and that is how the Bouchard & Gravier press was founded. It specialized in antiquities, maps, and prints; published Piranesi's early prints. In late 1790s the firm was dissolved; a separate firm of Bouchard and of Gravier was founded in the first half of 19th century.
