Exhibit "Gold of Sarmatian Chiefs" (Золото сарматских вождей) at the Pushkin Museum, August-October 2023 [1]

Pushkin Museum presents the exhibition “Gold of the Sarmatian Leaders”, at which for the first time the unique monuments of the Filippovsky mounds - the heritage of the nomadic Sarmatians from the funds of the Ufa Federal Research Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Orenburg Governor's Museum of History and Local Lore - will be presented together. These works were discovered as a result of archaeological excavations carried out in 1986–1990 by an expedition of the Bashkir branch of the USSR Academy of Sciences under the leadership of A.Kh. Pshenichnyuk, as well as in 2004–2009 and 2013–2014 by the Priural Archaeological Expedition of the Institute of Archeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences under the leadership of L.T. Yablonsky with the assistance of the Orenburg Governor's Museum of History and Local Lore. [2]
