English: The Guilford Free Library at 4024 Guilford Center Road at Carpenter Hill Road in Guilford, Vermont, was founded in 1890 -- although there is evidence that the town had a library from 1790-1815 -- making it one of the oldest continuously operating public libraries in the state. The building was constructed in 1891 at the cost of $300, and the library opened its doors on July 2, 1892. (Source: library website)
