Der Philosoph und Dichter Johann Gottfried Herder wirkte von 1771 bis 1776 als Hofprediger und Konsistorialrat in Bückeburg. Er wohnte mit seiner Familie im Pfarrhaus unweit der Bückeburger Stadtkirche. Die Straße ist heute nach Herder benannt. Am Haus ist eine Gedenktafel und eine Informationstafel angebracht.

The philosopher and poet Johann Gottfried Herder worked as a court preacher and consistorial councillor in Bückeburg from 1771 to 1776. He lived with his family in the vicarage not far from the Bückeburg town church. The street is now named after Herder. There is a memorial plaque and an information board on the house.
