The north wing of Kings House faced Grand Avenue in Hove between 1981, when it was built to the design of Fitzroy Robinson Miller Bourne and Partners, and its demolition in 2020 (preparatory work started in November 2019). The South Eastern Electricity Board had acquired Kings House, a Grade II-listed former hotel, in 1948 and converted it into their headquarters. Needing more room, they commissioned Fitzroy Robinson Miller Bourne and Partners to design a large extension in a complementary style on the east side of Grand Avenue.
