Three storey residential building with two entries from paralel streets. Planned by Resző Ray. Built to Berthold Steiner (1838-1905). Built in 1871-1873. Building builder/mason? contractor: József Pucher - Berthold Steiner (1838-1905) with the painter József Knapp (or Knopp) founded his title painting (street name sign, shop sign) making factory/workshop here in 1854. Berthold Steiner received the Hungarian Cross of Merit, in 1870 he received the silver medal of the Hungarian National Industrial Union, besides this house he also owned the numbers 6, 9, 12 and 13 Ó Street. - At the end of the 19th century, the Budapest Merchant Youth Self-Education Association and the Ferenc Deák Charity Association also operated here, their members regularly held music and dance parties in the rooms of the house. In 1944 the wing facing Ó Street was a yellow-star house. Until the 1970s, to the right (right wing??) of the building was the carpentry workshop of the Opera House (facing the building), and to the left was the transformer house of the Opera. The stage sets were stored here and transported through the gate of Lázár Street. The glazed arcade part was a bookstore before 2000, a lighting specialty store in the 2020s - 20 Lázár Street = 19 Ó Street (Alt Gasse before 1874), District VI of Budapest.

Háromemeletes lakóház. Tervező: Ray Rezső Építtető: Steiner Berthold Építő: Pucher József Építés éve: 1871-1873 - Az eklektikus stílusú, impozáns lakóház szabályos négyszög alakú telekre épült, a Lázár és az Ó utcára is nyílik egy-egy bejárata. Lázár utcai kapu kovácsoltvas tulipán mintás, a kapu felett konzolos erkély kovácsoltvas rácsos/korlátos van. Lázár utcai homlokzata öt tengelyes. Ó utcai homlokzata hét tengelyes - Stukkódíszeit és rozettáit az évek során eltávolították, mára minimalista belső térrel rendelkezik. A 19. század végén itt működött a Fővárosi Kereskedő Ifjak Önképző Egyesülete, valamint a Deák Ferenc Jótékonysági Egylet is, tagjaik rendszeresen tartottak zenés-táncos mulatságokat a házbeli helyiségekben. 1944-ben Ó utca felőli szárny csillagos ház volt. Steiner Berthold 1838-1905 Knapp (Knopp?) József festővel 1854ben itt alapította címfestő cégtáblakészítő üzemét. Steiner Berthold Magyar Érdemkeresztet kapott, 1870-ben Országos Iparegyesület ezüstérmét kapta, ezen a házon kívül az övé volt Ó utca 6, 9, 12 és 13 számok is. Az 1970-es évekig az épülettől jobbra (jobb szárnyában??) volt az Operaház asztalosműhelye, balra pedig a trafóháza. A színpadi díszleteket itt tárolták és Lázár utcai kapun szállították.
