English: The Brussels 7000 class of four-axle PCC tram cars did their last revenue-earning services on February 12, 2010, on their familiar routes 39 and 44.

They were the last of a class of 171, built from 1951 to 1971, partly using second-hand trucks and electric equipment from the United States (Kansas City and Johnstown, PA). They will now make place for larger articulated cars of classes 2000, 3000, 4000, 7700 and 7900 (the latter two still featuring PCC technology).

7008 (built 1951) was the last to enter the Haren depot, where the vehicles are being stored pending disposal. A few of the class remain in service for training and service duties.

(The PCC tram technology has been one of the major contributions of the United States to the world.)
