Norsk bokmål: Loftet er en bygning til bolig- og oppbevaringsformål. Loftet har utvendig trapp, og sto ikke på stolper som et stabbur. Men mange loft er sekundært brukt som stabbur.
English: Old scandinavian lofts are farm buildings used as a storage building or a dwelling house. They have an outside staircase and are not built on stilts, like stabburs, but many lofts were later used as a stabbur.
Deutsch: Alte skandinavische Lofts sind Lager- oder Wohngebäude auf einem Bauernhof. Sie besitzen im Gegensatz zum Stabbur eine Außentreppe und sind nicht auf Pfosten aufgeständert. Viele Lofts wurden jedoch sekundär als Stabbur genutzt.
