The Mary Clark Home was built 1891 - 1893 as the result of a charitable bequest by Mary Clark, the daughter of a Liverpool shipowner. It was intended as a home for "the benefit and comfort of elderly ladies in reduced circumstances", but closed in 2003 and is now private rented accommodation. It is at 93 Ullet Road, next to Halkyn Avenue.
