The German Luftwaffe Messerschmitt Bf 109E-3 (W.Nr. 1342) was flown by 6./JG51 ("Yellow 8") and shot down on 29 June 1940 (pilot: Eduard Hemmerling). It was discovered in 1988 off Cape Blanc Nez, Normandy, France, and restored at Charlston Aircraft. It is of 2012 part of the Flying Heritage Collection, Everett, Washington (USA), civil registration "N342FH".
