A single-station tabletop tube radio, shaped like microphone, used for radio station promotion in the 1950s. Manufacturer cannot be ascertained; all contacts end up at marketing companies like Point of Purchase Displays, Inc. or Universal Publicizers Inc.[1] These were fairly large units, 8 x 13.5 x 8 inch / 203 x 343 x 203 mm. Tube complement [2] suggest an "All American Five" schematic with heaters series-wired and plugged directly to 100..120 V AC mains.
