English: Nilsson Special Vehicles was founded in 1945 as "Yngve Nilssons Karosserifabrik" (Yngve Nilsson's coachwork factory). They made a number of stretch limousines, usually on Volvo-basis, for the East German state, but also built cars on Citroën CX-basis. They began to work closely with Volvo in the 1960's and maintained a close supplier relationship until 2000. In 2004 the company received new ownership and the name was changed to the current one. The operations have always been located in the little town of Laholm, on Sweden's west coast.
