The company with headquarters in Algiers builds and sells e.g. tractors under license from Deutz-Fahr, combine harvesters under license from Claas, and several other agricultural machines – solely or predominantly? – under license from different companies. PMAT traces its roots back to PMA (Producion Matériels Agricoles), a predecessor based in Sidi Bel Abbès, and (later?) to CMT (Complexe Moteurs Tracteurs), based in Oued Hamimime near Constantine. – A relevant tractor brand used is Cirta. The current combine brand is Tessala.
