The Panchmukhi Mahadev temple of Orchha is a 17th-century monuments complex within the Orchha Fort. The complex has its own defensive wall and gateway. Inside are three temples, the main one dedicated to Sadashiva. The temple are a curious synthesis of Nagara and Bhumija style, with Bundela-Rajput features. The walls are plain, while the niches have Ganesha, Kartikeya, Durga, Kali and Vishnu avatars. Other artwork include meditating yogis.
