English: Peace declaration that ended the First Boer War on 23 March 1881. Concluded at O’Neil’s Cottage, situated between the British and Boer lines at Majuba Hill, after Sir Evelyn Wood and Piet Joubert agreed to an armistice on 5 March 1881. Peace conditions formalized in the Pretoria Convention on 3 August 1881, and the Boer Triumvirate assumed rule over Transvaal on 10 August 1881. A review of the Pretoria Convention was signed at the London Convention of 1884. The Jameson Raid and Second Boer War were to follow.
Français : Cette déclaration de paix mit fin à la Première Guerre des Boers début 1881. Elle fut signée dans la cabane du O’Neil’s Cottage, située à flanc de Majuba entre les lignes britanniques et boers, après que Sir Evelyn Wood et Piet Joubert aient convenu d'un armistice le 5 mars 1881. Les conditions de paix furent formalisées dans la Convention de Pretoria le 3 août 1881, et le Triumvirat boer assura le Gouvernement du Transvaal à partir du 10 août 1881. Une révision de la Convention de Pretoria fut signée à Londres en 1884. Le Raid Jameson et la Seconde Guerre des Boers qui s'en suivirent rendirent caduque ce traité.
