Polski Fiat 126p FL (FL signifying Face Lift) is the version of Polski Fiat 126p produced between December 1984 and 1993. It was designed to be compatible with the new homologation laws coming into effect in Europe at the time. As such it features less sharp edges on both the inside and outside. It features new oval bumpers which better suited the shape of the body. It also received new side strips that differed from the old ones in shape and were mounted lower than the old ones, new rear view mirror, plastic filling for the roof gullies and new air intakes. It retained the 652 cc engine. There are at least two variants: 650E and 650El. The FL also served as a basis for the later Fiat 126 BIS. Originally built by FSM, the FL was produced between 1992 and 1993 by Fiat Auto Poland before being replaced by the interim Fiat 126 e version.
