The Rakiura Island Temperate Forests Ecoregion is a designated ecoregion by WWF and One Earth. It is classified as a Temperate Broadleaf & Mixed Forests Biome. It is one of 11 ecoregions in the New Zealand Bioregion.
Rakiura Island is also known as Stewart Island.
