Rashtrapati Niwas, also known as the Viceregal Lodge, is located on the Observatory Hills of Shimla, in the Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. It was formerly the residence of the British Viceroy of India Lord Dufferin. The buildings was designed by the British architect Henry Irwin, and its construction started in 1880 and was completed in 1888.31°06′13″N 77°08′31″E / 31.103730°N 77.141887°E
