Jean-François de Rozel, son of a family of magistrates, purchased this house in 1759 and undertook its restoration in 1773. The facade on the street displays a regular design with a luxurious gate framed by rustic work and topped by a medallion. Powerful consoles support a wrought-iron balcony whose finely worked scrolls make it a remarkable piece of craftsmanship.[edit]
