English: The first Salle Favart, built to the designs of French architect Jean-François Heurtier and used by the Opéra-Comique from its inauguration on 28 April 1783 until 20 July 1801, 23 July to 2 October 1804, and 24 October 1804 to to 4 July 1805. The theatre was used by the Théâtre Italien from 17 Jan 1802 to 19 May 1804, 2 October 1815 to 20 April 1818, and 12 November 1825 to 14 January 1838. The building was destroyed by fire on the night of 13–14 January 1838.
