Samuel Rowland, born in Whitley, Cheshire in 1789 was a Liverpool-based architect responsible for the design of several notable listed buildings including St Bride's Church, Deane Road Cemetery and The Royal Bank, Dale Street among others. He is buried in St Georges, Everton Link
