Description

Français : Sarcophage orné d’épaisses guirlandes de fleurs et de feuilles, nouées à des anneaux que tiennent dans leurs gueules des mufles de lion (parfois de griffon). Ces éléments s’inspirent des appliques en métal qui permettaient de transporter les cercueils en bois. Les guirlandes rappellent celles qu’on disposait sur le cercueil lors des funérailles.
