The Shiva temple of Orchha is a 17th-century monument with the Orchha Fort. It has a Nagara-style Hindu architecture in pancharatha style. Made from bricks and lime, it includes ghatapallavas on it exterior walls. These were plastered and originally painted. The reliefs are few and is relatively simple, with notable yogis sitting in niches. The notable feature of this west-facing Shaivism temple are the beautiful paintings inside. The temple had a Shiva linga, but that has now been moved to the Rama Raja temple.
