English: According to Peter Galloway, the stained glass windows of St. Macartan's Cathedral were installed between 1884 and 1892 (see Peter Galloway: The Cathedrals of Ireland, p. 181). One of the windows is dated 1895, though. They are the work of the companies Franz Mayer & Co., Munich, Earley and Powell, Dublin, and Cox and Buckley, Youghal. A list of all stained glass works of the cathedral is given by Joseph Duffy: The Stained Glass. In: A Cathedral Renewed: St Macartan's Monaghan, edited by Eltin Griffin, Columba Press, 1998, ISBN 1856072517, pp. 75–84.
