English: Phaetons with the body similar to the mail phaeton, but without a perch and with elliptical springs (also called Stanhope springs), and with a lighter body. Easy to spot, as they look as a Stanhope gig with two additional wheels and a boot for the servant. This category includes demi-mail phaetons (said to have an heavier body) and T-cart phaetons (lighter body).
