English: The Gyula Castle Theatre operates - since the summer of 1964 - in the court of the only gothic brick fortress that has survived in Central-Europe. Between July and August the guests are entertained with the best performances of historical dramas, different forms of contemporary prosaic theatre, opera, operetta, ballet, mediaeval courtyard-music, jazz, puppet-show, classic-, folk-music and folk-dance.
Magyar: A Gyulai Várszínház 1964 óta működik nyaranként szabadtéri fesztiválok helyszíneként (történelmi dráma, és a kortárs prózai színház különféle műfajai, opera, musical, balett, bábszínház, komolyzene, jazz, blues, nép- és világzene, illetve a néptánc műfajainak legjobb előadóival és előadásaival), 1999 óta pedig telente kamaratermében is folynak előadások Közép- és Kelet-Európa egyetlen épen maradt síkvidéki, gótikus téglavárában.
