Thomas (Tommy) Wilmor McKenzie (1827-2 March 1911) was a London born early settler of Wellington, who arrived in New Zealand in 1839 after living in Newfoundland. He apprenticed to Samuel Revans to produce the NZ Gazette before starting Wellington Independent newspaper. He was a Wellington City Councillor from 1881 to 1887.
