English: The first signal boxes at Truro were provided by the Cornwall Railway. They were replaced when the station was rebuilt, two similar boxes known as East and West coming into use on 5 March 1899. They were each built to the design known as Type 7A and with an operating floor 33 feet 6 inches by 12 feet. On 7 November 1971 Truro West closed and Truro East was renamed Truro Signal Box. The original 45-lever frame was replaced by one with 51 levers at this time.
