Most people will visit the town coming from the south, from the road between Göreme and Nevşehir. On that side stretches most of the town, is the entrance to the castle, are most touristic facilities, with a view of the Pigeon Valley thrown in. In the back, north side of the castle rock the valley is lower, with several large rock outcrops, many formerly lived in.
