English: Vojtěch Kučera was born on 23 December 1891 and died on 24 October 1942 at the age of 50. He was one of 262 family members and associates of the Czechoslovak paratroopers who were executed on Saturday 24 October 1942 in the Mauthausen concentration camp. All of them were arrested after the assassination of Reinhard Heydrich (i.e. after 27 May 1942) and the betrayal of Karel Churda (i.e. after 16 June 1942), and on the basis of the results of investigations by the German criminal police and the testimony of captured persons obtained by the Gestapo during intensified interrogations. They were the helpers and relatives of paratroopers from the Anthropoid, Silver A, Bivouac, Out Distance, Steel and Intransitive parachute groups.
