English: Welcome Park is a small urban square located on the former site of William Penn's Slate Roof House on 2nd Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The square is named after the ship that Pennsylvania founder William Penn arrived on and was created for the 1976 Bicentennial of the United States. The square features a statue of William Penn and exhibit panels about Penn's life and the history of Philadelphia. The ground of the square physically represents Penn's original 1680 plan for the city layout of Philadelphia between the Delaware and Schuylkill River. Welcome Park also features a Pennsylvania historical marker to Hannah Callowhill Penn and model of the Slate Roof House.
