English: A Yi is an ancient ritual bronze vessel from China. It has the shape of half a gourd with a handle (often in the shape of a dragon) and supported by 4 legs. It is believed it was used to contain water for washing hands before rituals like sacrifices.
Français : Un Yi est un type ancien de vase chinois en bronze. Ayant la forme d'une demie-gourde munie d'une anse ayant souvent la forme d'un dragon, il est généralement supporté par quatre pieds. Il est possible que les Yi servaient au lavage des mains avant les rituels tels que les sacrifices.
