Settled Issue[edit]

Originally this category contained subcategories that were of a general and a specific nature. The question came up of whether the general categories should be in advance of the lettered sections or in the lettered sections. A long-standing editor with a hand in the original design pointed out that specifics were being excluded from the higher-level categories. There were therefore only general subcategories left and there is no point in not putting them in lettered sections. Moreover, a convention had been established in other categories about Scotland of doing it that way. Therefore the two editors working on it decided to continue the convention. The specifics were removed by placing them in the general categories and the general categories were placed in lettered sections. It is expected by us that this will be the convention at least for Scotland and therefore it should not be changed without discussion and consensus. The dialogue is to be found on the talk page of the current editor.Botteville (talk) 00:49, 15 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
